Link: Pro Bowl May Be World-Peaced (Suspended)
From Chris Mortensen, ESPN.com
According to Mort, the NFL has embraced the possibility of not having a Pro Bowl this season, meaning that they’ve finally come to the same realization that most fans and players came to years ago: the game is meaningless.
Of course, the league would still look to announce Pro Bowl team members, meaning that bonuses and incentives for players would stay as is.
Hopefully the NFL will spark a revolution that will ignite the other four major sports to adopt a unified philosophy on all-star games, or the lack thereof. But the reality is this story will probably become a mute point in a few weeks when the executives wake up and remember how much money they would lose by not having a game.
